the article "Marijuana law just creates criminals--CNN.com", was based on people that were arrested for the possession of marijuana.
This
article includes details and some quotes that support this article such as "More than
50,000 people in 2011 were arrested in New York City for possessing
small amounts of marijuana".
"The
majority of whom were black and Latino--at a considerable judicial and
financial cost." "New York City also spends about $75 million every year on
arresting people for recreational marijuana possession".
These arrests only happen in a certain areas and neighborhood . Indeed, compounding the injustice is the fact that 85% of the people that were arrested was black and Latino.
I just feel that its sad to see people get locked up for things like that I feel that they know that it was wrong but yet they wanted to be smoking and doing marijuana.
I think that them getting locked up is a good thing the reason I said that I because they know exactly what they doing and they need to be put a stop to and that's what the police officers was doing.
